King Von was in fact Dayvon Daquan Bennett. King Von was born in Chicago on the 9th of August 1994 to Walter as well as Taesha. From his mother, he had three siblings. However, from his father , he was blessed with six half-siblings. Bennett was mostly nurtured by his mother because of the frequent times his father was in jail. When he was 11, Bennett's father was shot and then killed. Bennett was 16 years old when he was detained at first. That was the beginning of his many encounters with the law. After his release, Bennett was awarded college credit from South Suburban College, South Holland, Illinois. In an effort to rehabilitate himself after further legal issues, Bennett began pursuing his career in music, collaborating often with fellow rapper Lil Durk.Although "Welcome to O'Block" was the sole studio album Von was able to release during his lifetime and posthumously, an album titled "What It Means to be King" was released in March of 2022.
